Charlie’s Story

I was the 5th generation to grow up on my family’s farmhouse in Rio Vista, CA. From a very early age my mom would take me out on the ranch to meet up with my dad as he was harvesting, and I would fall asleep in the tractor with him, listening to the hummm of the harvester.

As I grew older my green thumb grew with me and I developed a passion for production agriculture.  These early experiences from riding the harvester with my dad, to learning the ins and outs of production farming led me to know that I eventually wanted to be a farmer myself, although at the time little did I know that would mean farming grapes.
